Welcome to the

Scoliosis

Center of Excellence

Scoliosis at the Institute for Specialized Surgery is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of spinal deformities in children, adolescents, and adults. Our team of orthopedic spine surgeons, neurosurgeons, and rehabilitation specialists uses advanced imaging, minimally invasive techniques, and evidence-based protocols to provide comprehensive care.

Scoliosis, characterized by abnormal curvature of the spine, can lead to pain, reduced mobility, and, in severe cases, impaired organ function. Many patients require individualized, multidisciplinary management to address progression and associated conditions. At the Scoliosis Center, we develop personalized treatment plans focused on correcting spinal alignment, relieving symptoms, and improving overall function and quality of life.

What is scoliosis?
Scoliosis is an abnormal curvature of the spine that can occur in children, adolescents, or adults. It may cause pain, reduced mobility, or, in severe cases, affect organ function.
Patients with visible spinal curvature, back pain, uneven shoulders or hips, or a family history of scoliosis should consider evaluation. Advanced imaging and assessments help determine the severity and best treatment approach.
Treatment may include observation, bracing, physical therapy, or surgical intervention depending on the degree of curvature and symptoms. Individualized care plans are developed to improve spinal alignment, relieve symptoms, and enhance overall function and quality of life.
