Associate Medical DirectorDr. Xequiel “Zeke” Hernandez has been caring for patients since 2012. He completed his undergraduate studies at Seton Hall University, earned his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Hunterdon Medical Center.
Board-certified in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine, Dr. Hernandez brings over 13 years of outpatient experience with specialized expertise in HIV Primary Care, chronic disease management, and obesity treatment. He is passionate about preventive health and long-term wellness, taking time to listen, build trust, and partner with his patients in making informed decisions about their care.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hernandez has held leadership roles in diverse clinical settings, most recently serving with Mount Sinai at the Harlem Health Center, where he contributed to advancing quality improvement and patient-centered care initiatives. Fluent in Spanish, he now brings his clinical expertise, leadership experience, and commitment to excellence to the MRHS team, furthering its mission to deliver exceptional healthcare to every patient.
