Sentinel Lymph Node Mapping and Biopsy

Sentinel Lymph Node Mapping and Biopsy is a procedure used to evaluate the spread of cancer to lymph nodes. A tracer identifies the first lymph node(s) that drain the tumor site, which is then surgically removed and examined. This technique minimizes unnecessary lymph node removal and reduces complications like lymphedema.
