Center of Excellence

Gynecologic Oncology at the Institute for Specialized Surgery is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of cancers affecting the female reproductive system. Our team of gynecologic oncologists, surgeons, radiation specialists, and medical oncologists employs advanced surgical techniques, targeted therapies, and evidence-based protocols to provide comprehensive cancer care.

Gynecologic cancers, including ovarian, uterine, cervical, and vulvar malignancies, can have significant health impacts and often require complex, multidisciplinary management. Many patients also have coexisting conditions that affect treatment planning. At the Gynecologic Oncology Center, we develop personalized care plans focused on optimizing outcomes, preserving function when possible, and supporting patients throughout every stage of treatment and recovery.

What are gynecologic malignancies?
Gynecologic malignancies are cancers that affect the female reproductive system, including ovarian, uterine, cervical, and vulvar cancers.
Women experiencing abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, unusual discharge, or a family history of gynecologic cancers should consult a specialist for evaluation and early detection.
Treatment may include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or a combination, depending on the type and stage of cancer. Individualized care plans are developed to target the disease, preserve function when possible, and support overall well-being.
