Welcome to the

Cranial Base Tumor

Center of Excellence

Cranial Base Tumor Center at the Institute for Specialized Surgery is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of complex tumors at the base of the skull. Our team of neurosurgeons, ENT surgeons, and specialized physicians uses advanced imaging, minimally invasive and open surgical techniques, and evidence-based protocols to provide precise, comprehensive care.

Cranial base tumors, including benign and malignant lesions, can involve critical neurovascular structures and often require multidisciplinary management. Many patients have coexisting conditions that make individualized planning essential. At the Cranial Base Tumor Center, we develop personalized treatment plans focused on safely addressing pathology, preserving neurological function, and improving quality of life.

A cranial base tumor is an abnormal growth located at the base of the skull, which can be benign or malignant. These tumors often involve critical nerves and blood vessels, requiring careful evaluation and treatment.
Patients experiencing persistent headaches, vision changes, facial numbness, or neurological deficits may benefit from consultation. Advanced imaging and multidisciplinary assessments help guide diagnosis and treatment planning.
Treatment may involve minimally invasive or open surgical approaches, sometimes combined with radiation or other therapies. Individualized care plans are developed to safely address the tumor, preserve neurological function, and optimize patient outcomes.
